Roddy White (ankle) says he'll be "ready to go" for Sunday's opener.

He was officially limited in Thursday's practice. White stopped well short of guaranteeing he'll be 100 percent, but few players are more adept at playing through injury and remaining effective. White has never missed a game, and his status isn't worth a second thought. He'll be ready to roll.

A source tells Profootballtalk that there's 80-20 odds Roddy White (ankle) will not play in Sunday's opener against the Saints.

ESPN's Adam Schefter was first to raise concerns Sunday morning by saying White's ankle is "worse than the Falcons are letting on." FOX Sports' Jay Glazer later chimed in and reported White had yet to cut on the ankle since injuring it in the second preseason game. It appears White did suffer the dreaded high-ankle sprain, though the Falcons denied it. If White can't go, Julio Jones has the ability to just go off. Jones was already locked in as a top-five receiver play. White is going through pre-game warm-ups as we speak. He's a full-blown game-time decision. The Falcons will announce inactives in about an hour.

Roddy White (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.

Here we go. It's going to be another week to monitor White, who is dealing with a high-ankle sprain. He'll likely get in a limited session or two to round out the week before the Falcons host the Rams, but we're going to be dealing with a muddy situation up until the 1 PM ET kickoff. White moved reasonably well in the opener. However, he might be ticketed for decoy duties again in Week 2.

Roddy White (ankle) remained out of Falcons practice Thursday.

White is fully expected to suit up against the Rams, but his workload remains the question mark. White caught just two passes (on two targets) in Week 1, but did manage to play 37 snaps. He appeared to get stronger as the game went on. He's a high-risk, high-reward WR2/3 for Week 2.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Julio Jones (knee) and Roddy White (ankle) are both expected to play versus the Rams on Sunday.

Both players were listed as questionable after getting in limited practices Friday. Coach Mike Smith had already confirmed White would suit up, leaving Jones as the lone question mark. Neither player will be at 100 percent. We'd probably knock Jones down to a WR2, while White is a dicey WR3 play against St. Louis.

Roddy White (ankle) and Julio Jones (knee) are both active and will start Sunday's Week 3 game against the Dolphins.

As expected. Look for White to be limited for the the third straight week, while Jones is locked in as a top-five receiver play. The Falcons' inactives are Steven Jackson (thigh), S Kemal Ishmael, S Zeke Motta, LB Jamar Chaney, G/C Harland Gunn, LT Sam Baker, and DT Travian Robertson.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Julio Jones will undergo season-ending foot surgery next week after Dr. Robert Anderson confirmed Jones suffered a fracture.
Jones had his second opinion on Wednesday with Dr. Anderson, and the results were exactly what the team feared and expected. Jones is done for the season. We haven't learned yet whether Jones actually broke a new bone in his foot or the screw that was holding his foot together from the 2011 surgery. But either way, the news isn't good. Jones will be placed on injured reserve shortly.

Roddy White (hamstring, ankle) did not practice Tuesday and was spotted "hobbling" around the locker room.
White suffered a hamstring injury in Week 5 and is still working his way back from a high-ankle sprain. The fact that he wasn't able to practice coming off a bye isn't a good sign. In addition to losing Julio Jones (foot surgery) for the season, it's possible the Falcons will be playing without White this week. His status for Sunday's game against the Bucs is shaky at best. We're expecting the Falcons to use Harry Douglas, Kevin Cone and Drew Davis as their top-three wideouts.

ESPN Falcons blogger Vaughn McClure concedes that it "doesn't look promising" for Roddy White (ankle, hamstring) to play this week versus Tampa Bay.
White is still noticeably limping around the locker room. Friday's practice designation will tell us much more, but as of now we shouldn't expect to see White on Sunday. Assistant head coach Terry Robiskie was asked about the possibility of White's consecutive games streak ending and said, "I don’t know as far as it coming to an end or not coming to an end. I know Roddy is the toughest guy I’ve ever coached." That seems to suggest White could "play" just to keep the streak alive. White shouldn't be in Week 7 fantasy lineups.

Roddy White (ankle, hamstring) remained sidelined at practice Wednesday.
White's status for Week 8 against the Cardinals is up in the air. He sat out last week's game in an effort to get healthy with Julio Jones sidelined for the season. The Falcons didn't miss a beat without him and could choose to give White another week off with another weak opponent on the schedule.

Falcons coach Mike Smith was noncommittal on Roddy White's (ankle, hamstring) Week 9 status in Monday's presser.
"Roddy is going to continue to work," Smith said in failing to shed any light on the situation. "It's up to the doctors when he returns." It sounds like White is 50-50, at best, to return to practice on Wednesday. For now, White's owners should count on him missing at least one more week.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Roddy White (ankle, hamstring) is not expected to play against the Panthers "barring significant improvement."
White is "trying to get fully healthy" before making his return. He sat out practice Wednesday and Thursday before returning to a limited session Friday and calling himself a "game-time decision." If White does sit out, Harry Douglas, Darius Johnson, and Drew Davis will hold down the fort against a tough pass defense.

Roddy White (hamstring, ankle) is active and starting Sunday's Week 10 game against the Seahawks.
White may not be quite 100 percent, hasn't played since Week 5 and will see a ton of Richard Sherman. He's just a WR3 play this week, but he projects to pay dividends for owners down the line. With Julio Jones out for the year, Roddy will be a target monster. The Falcons inactives Sunday: RB Josh Vaughn, S Kemal Ishmael, LB Thomas Howard, G Harland Gunn, OT Sam Baker, WR Brian Robiskie and DE Cliff Matthews.

Roddy White (shoulder) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
It's far from ideal for White to be missing practice time with yet another new injury, but there's been no indication his Week 11 status is in doubt. Even if he's listed as questionable on Friday's injury report, White should be expected to start against Darrelle Revis and the Bucs.
